Automotive: In The Driver’s Seat

NXTech has been involved in the automotive industry and electric vehicles spesifically for a number of years. No wonder then, that something innovative and new is about to emerge.

The history of the early electric cars in Norway is in part also the story about an important aspect of NXTech’s core competancy. During one of the earliest intiatives at launching a Norwegian electric vehicle to market, NXTech was hired to revise the electronic control unit. During a period of several years, and using the combined knowledge within embedded software development, integrated circuit design and prototyping, NXTech laid an important foundation for own innovation.

Finding a segment

Even a simple electric vehicle can be regarded as an advanced instrument. A variety of sensors placed in different areas of the vehicle feeds data into the electronic control unit, which in turn must respond by outputting data to the driver. It sounds simple enough, but meeting the automotive industry’s strict security requirements demands both skills and passion.
High Volume Niche Vehicle

Combining the skills and passion NXTech holds for the automotive industry, the next logical step was beginning the development of a new electric vehicle. With the industry’s big movers launching a new line of electric cars, NXTech has seen the potential in using their mass production knowledge to design and develop a new kind of electric vehicle. Currently in the prototype phase «City Motion» is a cost effective multi purpose car, with usefulness as a keyword. The circle is complete, and NXTech is in the driver’s seat.
